Production Design

In the summer of 2022, working with a tight budget and an even tighter deadline, my creative partners Niamh Barry, Darren Hill, and I were able to create a music video for the single “Literary Mind” by one of Dublin’s hottest punk bands, Sprints (of City Slang Records). Serving as the project’s production designer (in partnership with Barry) I wrote the video’s storyline, curated a visual reference library, storyboarded visuals, scouted locations, and sourced costumes for the actors. With a mission of bringing a genuine story of young queer love to life, we combined inspiration from John Hughes classics and the photography of queer female photographers like Justine Kurland.

The video has since been featured by BBC Radio 6 and DIY Magazine.
